Performance experience is an integral part of the development of every dancer. Local Competitions give students important, additional time on stage.

Audition Dates and Times
Tuesday, May 17th
4:15-5:00 Levels 1-3
5:00-6:00 Levels 4-5
6:00-7:00 Levels 6-10
The Level to audition is your summer level.
Team Class Information
- Rules are on the audition form – please read carefully
- Class Costs
- 30 minute class is $375 per semester
- 45 minute class is $415 per semester
- Cost of class includes tuition, 2 competitions, choreography and costume
- Competition Team is a weekly class separate from your regular class
- Competition Team is a commitment both in and out of class
- Team dances may be lyrical, contemporary, or jazz depending on the group. Teams will learn and perform one dance.
- Teams will be selected by SCBD staff – we do our best to put together teams we feel work
- The team will attend 2 local competitions in the spring – dates TBD. Local is Des Moines or potentially Ames
- You will need to block off the whole weekend for competition as we do not receive schedules until 1-2 weeks prior to the competition
- You cannot miss a competition – no sporting or any other event can take precedence over the performance time given to us by the competition company.
